Steering group

HaemTRIAL was founded by Dr Pip Nicolson, who is a Consultant Haematologist and Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Birmingham. Dr Nicolson leads a steering group that is made up of experienced NHS consultant haematologists and academics from across the UK.

The network is embedded within the infrastructure of the University of Birmingham, a world class university at the cutting edge of translational and clinical research.

HaemTRIAL has strong links with HaemSTAR, the UK’s highly successful network for haematology registrars in medical haematology. As such, HaemTRIAL harnesses the power of both experience and enthusiasm to deliver a high quality service.
